Short description:

Midwives care for, advise and nurse women before, during and in the period shortly after giving birth and their newborn children and babies. They monitor the progress of the pregnancy, the foetus in the womb with the appropriate clinical and technical resources. With your degree course you will obtain a scientifically-based, clinical-practical midwifery training, which will also prepare you for your future function in preventive health education and consultation in the community.

Study focus:

Fundamentals of medicine, midwife knowledge, psychology, education and professional ethics, communication, law and economics

Tuition fees: EUR 363,36 + ÖH premium per semester

Work placement: 50 weeks (occupational) placement
