Danish Ambassador Mr. Hugo Østergaard-Andersen at IMC FH Krems
The Danish Ambassador was the 74th guest of honour of the export institute of the IMC Unversity of Applied Sciences Krems.
At the occasion of the recent Copenhagen summit and the current Danish Nordic Council Presidency, Prof. Anis Bajrektarevic invited Danish Ambassador Mr. Hugo Østergaard-Andersen as a guest lecturer for the Export degree programme's Chair for International Law and Global Political Studies.

IMC FH Krems: Tourism students visited the world's largest travel trade show
From 10 – 14 March 2010 tourism students of the IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems visited the ITB Berlin.
72 students of the IMC Tourism and Leisure Management programmes (Bachelor and Master) took part in an excursion organised by Mag. Walter Grassl, IMC lecturer, to ITB Berlin 2010.

Lively discussion on „Climate Justice in Tourism“ in Copenhagen. IMC Lecturer Christian Baumgartner sees a need to establish a climate-just-framework in the tourism sector.
On the occasion of the UN Climate Summit, NGOs and the World Tourism Organization were discussing the challenges for the international tourism industry with regard to climate and development policy on 10 December 2009 at the “Klimaforum09” in Copenhagen.

Prof. Karl Born held guest lecture at the IMC
The relevance of customer orientation an customer satisfaction were the core topics of Born's excellent speech.
On December 11, Prof. Karl Born gave a speech about “Bitchy comments about service quality and customer loyalty”. During his speech Prof. Karl Born demonstrated with funny ancedotes the relevance of customer orientation and customer happiness for the tourism industry.

Tourism Circles - Open lecture series successfully launched
The Institute Tourism and Leisure Management is pleased with the successful launch of the open lecture series “Tourism Circles”.
On November 19, Mr. Heinz Palme spoke about „Safety as success factor in events“. Palme is known as an international icon in the field of mega sports events (such as UEFA EURO 2008 or FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa).

A team at the School of Informatics, Communications and Media working with eco-furniture designers Team7 and AMS Research have developed systems that turn a wall or table into a fully functional processing station controlled by finger-tip touch.
