Bachelor/Master

A standardised educational system of European Universities of Applied Sciences makes it easier to gain an occupational foothold abroad.

In the year 1999 the go-ahead was given for the standardisation of the European system of education. Since then, a great deal has happened at Austria’s Universities of Applied Sciences (UAS). In the year 2010, all degree programmes will have adapted to the new three-tier model. With an internationally recognised, and moreover equivalent, degree, the doors in the direction of Europe will be open. Students can earn their Bachelor’s degree in a manageable period of time of three years and can then choose whether to pursue a Master’s. After that, the way is paved for Doctoral studies at universities.

The hard facts

  • Successful implementation of the Bologna Process
  • ECTS – Unified system for making degree programmes comparable
  • Internationality and mobility are in the foreground
