With Knowledge and Practice Towards One’s Goal
Lecturers with first-hand experience. Who would know better about the necessary know-how that graduates of a specific degree programme need in a job than those who are already working in the field?
Cooperation. Universities of Applied Sciences are in close contact with representatives of the fields of work they are educating their students for. In this manner, graduates can be educated in the most focused way. This reduces the period of orientation and saves employers time and money. Moreover, graduates of UASs are in a position to immediately apply a great deal of the knowledge they have acquired.
The system has already proven itself. According to a survey of the Market Institute, 60% of the 222 interviewed firms were very satisfied with UAS graduates. Half even stated that the education fully fulfilled their requirements.
State-of-the-art equipment. The newest technical equipment which UASs enjoy plays an important role in this high degree of satisfaction.
Work placements. A further plus factor for the education provided by UASs is the work placements which are offered and are to be completed directly in firms. In individual degree programmes, thirty percent of the students are already offered a job during their work placement.
Networking. Contacts are extremely important. Through the numerous lecturers who come from the various fields of work, students are already able to make contacts in the lecture hall and get an insight into daily business.
Part-time. A number of degree programmes offer employed students the possibility to study and improve their career opportunities immensely.
