Midwives work together with pregnant women as partners. Their focus is to encourage, look after and counsel pregnance, birth and pueperium. On midwife´s own responsibility is to conduct physiological births and to take care of the newborns and babies. Midwives monitor all processes in these periods with available clinical and technical recources and take necessary steps if something doesn´t develop normally. A midwife assumes responsibility for health care of the women, their families and the society. The bachelor degree obtains the authority for a profesional working in all the explained areas.
