The master continuing education course teaches students in-depth, problem and user-oriented knowledge of TV and film production. It combines cross-platform video production with integrated media economics. Students acquire the scientific and practical prerequisites to develop, finance and realise film and media productions.
Semester 1 and 2 focus on the conception and production of the students’ own projects. Next to broad basic knowledge students become acquainted with the basics of camera techniques, dramaturgy, lighting, camera work, fitting, film music and text animation. In several concrete tasks participants learn how to tell stories in sound and images.
In semester 3 and 4 international experts provide an insight into the film and TV industry as well as into the online market. Format development and production, financing and distribution are the focuses of the practical teaching. Current discussions about digital media technologies, media use scenarios and new business models as well as a master thesis complete the course.
