Climate-friendly construction and the long-term energy-saving development and operation of real estate are central topics in the future real estate industry. The part-time degree program responds to the current and dynamic development in the real estate industry and provides core competencies for the sustainable development or management of real estate and mobility on an ecological, economic and social level. In addition to comprehensive knowledge in the areas of economics, architecture, law and traditional real estate project development, the focus is on new technologies such as digitalization (such as BIM and GIS) and their potential, as well as infrastructure planning and mobility. The total of nine block weeks take place alternately in Carinthia, Vienna and once abroad in the form of an excursion (Germany/Frankfurt am Main).
Focus of the Master's Program Sustainable Real Estate Management (SREM)
Graduates of the Master's program in Sustainable Real Estate Management can have a successful long-term impact. With sound knowledge they have the entire life cycle of a property, from location, flexibility in use, ESG guidelines, CO2 neutrality and EU taxonomy in mind. The students gain knowledge about the development of hybrid real estate projects and find flexible solutions in real estate use as well as the craft of the classic property developer among others know-how about the cooperation with stakeholders, the changing society and basics for futurology. Students work together in interdisciplinary teams depending on the sector in which they are active and benefit from each other while working on three projects. A combination of a total of only nine block weeks in presence in Carinthia, Vienna and Frankfurt (D, excursion ) as well as Distance Learning elements between the block weeks facilitate the studyability alongside the job.
The attendance weeks in SREM are as follows:
4 semesters in 9 block weeks:

- 1 week Frankfurt/Main (excursion)
