The interdisciplinary Master's programme focuses on the latest technologies, innovative management and sustainable aviation. You will be ideally equipped to take off in the international aviation industry.
New aircraft systems
You will acquire fundamental knowledge of complex flight systems such as digital avionics or electronic flight control systems, with a focus on unmanned aerial vehicles. You will also specialise in alternative, sustainable propulsion technologies. You will put your knowledge into practice in the Aerospace Engineering Lab.
Innovative aircraft construction
You will specialise in various aspects of aircraft construction, in particular lightweight construction. The focus is on the use of lightweight materials and high-tech materials as well as new manufacturing processes such as 3D printing. In addition to design and simulation, you will deal with thermodynamics and aerodynamics and gain practical experience in the icing wind tunnel.
Sustainable Aviation Management
You will acquire relevant knowledge about sustainability efforts in the areas of propulsion technology and flight operations as well as safety and certifications in aviation. The management of major projects in the aviation industry, at airlines and airports, sustainable air transport and supply chain management are also central topics of the programme.
Electives. Internship. Master's thesis
You can set your own individual specialisation in Aviation Engineering or Aviation Management by means of electives. Further specialisation is possible as part of the internship and the Master's thesis.
