Hardware and Software for Smart Devices
Integrated computer systems are the brains of the devices that surround us every day, whether in the home, in the automobile, in industry or medical technology. After basic electronics training, students in the Embedded & Cyber-Physical Systems major learn about these systems from a hardware and software perspective.
Electronics is a basic technology that is used everywhere today. In the first four semesters, students learn the basics of hardware-related software development and the development of electronic hardware, supplemented by natural sciences, economics and personality-building courses:
- General electronics
- Digital Technology & Computer Engineering
- Other competencies
In the final year, the major focuses on embedded & cyberphysical systems, i.e. embedded, high-performance, mostly specialized computer systems:
- Advanced Microelectronic Design
- Embedded Communication Systems
- Systemprogrammierung für Embedded Devices
- Embedded and Cyber-Physical Systems
- Hardware/Software Co-Design
- Advanced Microcontroller Design
