Due to rapid climate change and so far insufficient measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, daily land consumption and traffic, there will be quantitative and qualitative impacts on the labor market. The desired green transition and the measures needed to achieve it require not only political and economic will, but also considerable financial resources.

The bachelor's program "Green Transition Engineering" provides scientific and technological competences as well as basics from legal, economic and sociological directions, which are necessary for the efficient and evidence-based implementation and support of transition processes and sustainability developments in differently oriented companies and organizations.

In principle, graduates of the "Green Transition Engineering" program will find employment in all economic sectors and industries. There is no area in the economy, politics and society that does not have to deal with sustainable development and digitalization now or in the future. Sustainable development will become relevant for all areas of life and work in order to be able to achieve the agreed sustainability goals of the United Nations.

Numerous new occupations and fields of activity will develop in the area of Green Transition. Especially the handling of the multitude of available data, for example from research or monitoring and verification of set sustainability measures, as well as the preparation of these data for different target groups and applications etc. are key competences due to the increasing digitalization. For this reason, all economic sectors and industries as well as the broad public sector can be considered as a job market for graduates of the bachelor's degree program "Green Transition Engineering". New professional fields, which are currently not yet fully recognizable or can be named, can be foreseen through the current rapid developments.

The graduates of the "Green Transition Engineering" program are well prepared for the future due to their broad education in topics of green transformation as well as their well-founded knowledge in the field.
