California State University, Channel Islands is located in Ventura County, about an hour north of Los Angeles. CSUCI is part of the 23-campus California State University system. It offers a wide range of business, social sciences, and interdisciplinary programs in an international academic environment and in one of the world’s most dynamic economic regions.
How it works
LBS students may participate in the exchange with California State University, Channel Islands if they meet the following requirements:
- They must meet CSUCI’s English proficiency requirements (TOEFL, IELTS, or MELAB),
- maintain full-time enrolment at Lauder Business School, and
- hold valid health and travel insurance for the duration of their stay in the U.S.
Students accepted as exchange students pay their regular tuition to LBS. No tuition is charged by CSUCI. Campus service fees may apply. Students are responsible for their own travel, housing, and living costs. Academic credits earned at CSUCI will be assessed for recognition toward the LBS degree in the standard way.

Exchange is open to students who intend to graduate from LBS. The number of exchange spots per semester is limited. Students interested in applying should contact the LBS International Office early to confirm their eligibility and deadlines. Applications are reviewed by the International Office, admission to CSUCI remains subject to CSUCI's own decisions.
