How to become a biomedical scientist?
Anyone wishing to start a career as a biomedical scientist can complete a six-semester bachelor's programme in biomedical science at the University of Applied Sciences for Health Professions Upper Austria in Linz or Steyr. The comprehensive theoretical and practical training (including numerous internships in internal and external laboratories) concludes with the academic degree Bachelor of Science in Health Studies (BSc). In addition to the technical and methodological skills required to independently carry out complex laboratory analysis processes and functional diagnostic tests, students also acquire social and communication skills as well as basic competencies for scientific work
