The part-time, evening Bachelor’s degree program in Content Production & Digital Media Management prepares journalists and career changers for working in a trimedial newsroom or, more broadly, for trimedial journalism, so that they will be able to professionally conceive and design audio, video and image content for online journalism.

 

Focus & Qualifications

The Bachelor’s degree program in Content Production & Digital Media Management teaches students the following skills and qualifications:

  • Knowledge of different presentation techniques
  • Knowledge of all areas of media and communication
  • Basic knowledge of topics relevant to society
  • Knowledge of the theory und professional practice of journalism mediation
  • Specialist and generalist knowledge in the areas of politics, culture, society etc.
  • Knowledge of the production process in media and of how to use TV and radio equipment, cutting software and editing software
  • Ability to prepare multi-media content (print, online, audio and audiovisual media) from content in different genres and for all media, and the editing of media products
  • Knowledge of business administration for the media and communications industry
  • Knowledge of the practical relevance of labor law, business law, media law and copyright
  • An overview of different application systems
  • In-depth knowledge of the most important production systems
  • Knowledge of all important theories and models in journalism and communication science
  • Knowledge of the textual and formal basis of academic writing
