The Sustainable Packaging Technology degree program was developed together with the packaging industry and provides an overview of the most important packaging materials of paper, cardboard, plastic, metal and glass. The practically oriented program covers the entire life cycle of packaging, from development to production and all the way to marketing and quality management. The focus is on employability and sustainable product design. Disposal and recycling also plays an important role in the program.

The degree program was developed together with leading companies in the packaging industry and brand owners who also provided the impetus to create the program. In teaching and research we also cooperate with the University of Munich, the Technical University of Vienna and the Austrian Research Institute for Chemistry and Technology. This network allows us to attract outstanding lecturers, develop R&D projects and make excursions to industrial facilities. This provides you with excellent opportunities to make valuable contacts for your future career already during your studies. For example, the Molecular Biotechnology degree programs conduct research in the field of cell-based test systems. The Sustainable Packaging Technology degree program is also involved here, testing packaging for hormone activity.
