Project, process and quality management and corporate management in technically-oriented firms are at the core of the Technical Management Master degree program. They interlink detailed technical knowledge and management competencies - an ideal combination for managerial functions or to apply your know-how as a consultant. You will train your assessment of economically viable ideas and learn how to successfully implement these, maybe in your own newly founded company.

What we offer you

By opting for the Technical Management Master degree program, you already hold the key to success in your hand. Because you will achieve success at home and abroad by combining specialized technical know-how, management methods and project, process and quality management. The two specializations in Information Technology and Environmental and Energy Technology deal with internationally topical issues. You may, for instance, offer some solutions to these issues in your Master thesis. Our University of Applied Sciences can offer the academic environment and infrastructure you need to contribute in this field. Our excellently equipped laboratories, such as the electronics and network laboratory and our special photovoltaic facility for teaching and testing, are at your disposal for your research. You will participate in R&D projects, together with innovative companies in commerce and industry. This will enhance your technical and scientific expertise. Practical relevance is also guaranteed through our Campus Lecture evenings which are open to all and offer contributions by prominent experts.

What makes this degree program special

Projects should, in the practical world, always endeavor to benefit society and the environment. This is also the guideline for project selection in the degree program. In the Information Technology specialization field in the Technical Management Master degree program, the development of a system allowing highly parametrizable traffic simulation is planned, for instance. This project will allow a network of roads to be arbitrarily modeled, permitting addition and interaction of various road users. The complete system will allow for the inclusion all types of roads, crossings, traffic lights, footpaths, bikeways and trolley cars. Using a graphical user interface, experiments and surveys will be carried out to analyze existing and new traffic situations such as normal traffic, congestion, accidents or roadworks, and to examine potential counter-strategies such as detours or changing traffic light timing.

You will participate in the analysis of results and in finding answers to various traffic situations, to the benefit of road users.

Our individual options for further education within the framework of the degree program are your added value towards your career planning or finding a job. We can offer you certifications which are important to industry, such as PMA Project Management Austria or the Process Management Certificate.
