The aim of the Advanced Health Professional university course is to enable experienced healthcare professionals to overtake a role with in-depth skills within the healthcare system. The focus is on case- and patient-centered care in complex situations, involving relatives and caregivers.
In addition to professional and methodological competencies, students also acquire social and communicative skills. The academic qualification focuses on evidence-based, sustainable practice and quality assurance measures. How do you become an Advanced Health Professional (Expert)?
Anyone who, after completing a bachelor's degree or diploma in the health sector and at least two years of professional experience, would like to take on an expert role in their own field of specialisation can complete the Advanced Health Professional university course at the University of Applied Sciences for Health Professions Upper Austria at the Med Campus V. Linz study location. The two-semester course concludes with the title ‘Academic Expert in Clinical Practice’. The main focus of the training includes outcome measurement, quality and data management, digitalised healthcare, case work and case management, and consultation. Accompanying internships enable an optimal transfer of theory into practice.
