The aim of the Master's programme Advanced Health Professional is to enable experienced healthcare professionals to overtake a role with in-depth and expanded competencies within the healthcare system. The main focus is on managing patient care in complex situations, involving family members and caregivers.
In addition to professoinal and methodological skills, students also acquire social and communication competencies. The scientifically based qualification empowers them to transfer research results into practice and to develop and implement new care concepts. During the accompanying professional internship, students get the opportunity to apply and consolidate the knowledge they have acquired under expert guidance.

How do you become an Advanced Health Professional (Master's degree)?
Those who wish to take on an expert role in their own field after completing a bachelor's degree in healthcare and at least two years of professional experience can complete the Advanced Health Professional master's programme at the University of Applied Sciences for Health Professions Upper Austria at the Med Campus V. Linz. The four-semester programme concludes with the title ‘Master of Science (Continuing Education) / MSc (CE)’. Key area of focus include outcome measurement, quality and data management, digitalised healthcare, case work and case management, and consultation. Optimal theory-to-practice transfer is facilitated through accompanying internships.
