The healthcare sector is a growing market, and needs qualified experts. Our part-time Business Administration for the Public Health Sector bachelor degree programme is taught in German and will equip you with the skills you require for success in the healthcare industry. After completing the three-year course, you will be ready to take on professional responsibilities at hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, insurers, or other health organisations in the private and public sectors. The Business Administration for the Public Health Sector bachelor programme is offered as both a full-time and a part-time degree. Your choice of format depends on your personal situation.
What to expect from the degree programme
Acquiring sound basic knowledge is important for your future career. This is why the curriculum includes business administration, economics and law. In the first 3 semesters you will learn about information technology, enhance your social skills, and you will learn about the basics of medical and nursing care, as well as about health systems and the role of health policy.
In the final three semesters you will take the next step, building on what you have already learned during your degree, examining this knowledge from a theoretical standpoint in dedicated courses and putting your expertise into practice in the course of the internship. In semester 5 you will spend a minimum of 22 weeks at an internship provider in the healthcare sector, and you can also choose whether to do your internship in Austria or abroad.
