Anyone wanting to achieve management knowledge and skills (e.g., ward manager, department manager) after completing a bachelor's degree or diploma in healthcare and nursing can complete the higher education course in care management at the University of Applied Sciences for Health Professions Upper Austria at the Med Campus V. Linz. The two-semester programme finishes with the additional designation “Basic and Middle Management.” The programme focuses on management and applied nursing management, leadership, personal and social competencies, healthcare, and public health. Internships enable an optimal transfer of theory to practice.
