Anyone wishing to start a career as a healthcare and nursing professional in Upper Austria can begin by attending the Bachelor programme in Healthcare and Nursing at the University of Applied Sciences for Health Professions Upper Austria in Linz, Ried i. I., Steyr, Vöcklabruck or Wels. The six-semester programme finishes with a Bachelor of Science in Health Studies (BSc) degree. Students develop not only technical knowledge but also important interpersonal skills, such as dealing with challenges, a reflective self-image and collaborativ teamwork with other healthcare professionals. They also get an understanding of scientific methods. During their professional internships, students apply their knowledge in the reality of daily nursing pracite under professional supervision and expand it for their future careers.
