Occupational therapy can be understood as the science of activity, accordingly, trained therapists work with clients of all ages in the fields of therapy, rehabilitation, health promotion, as well as in a social science context with the development, encouragement and preservation of their individual capacity to act. The central skill to the job is to allow clients to complete everyday activities, which they regard to be important and useful (client centred approach).
