In the Master’s programme in Social Work, you will deepen your knowledge of professional support systems within psychosocial fields of practice – and learn how to effectively support individuals in complex life situations while actively contributing to societal change processes. You will engage with current challenges such as mental health, social inequality, and the impacts of societal transformation. In doing so, you will develop practice-oriented concepts aimed at participation, empowerment, and social justice.

The focus is on developing effective social intervention strategies – from needs assessment through to implementation in real-life contexts. You will critically reflect on professional methods of practice, evaluate their effectiveness, and collaborate with various disciplines to design sustainable solutions.

With individual areas of specialisation in Clinical Social Work or Community-Based Social Work, you can refine your professional profile – research-informed, practice-oriented, and closely aligned with current societal needs.
