How do you become a dietitian?
Anyone wishing to start a career as a dietitian in Upper Austria begin by attending a bachelor's programme in dietetics at the University of Applied Sciences for Health Professions Upper Austria in Linz. The six-semester programme finishtes with a Bachelor of Science in Health Studies (BSc) degree. Dietitians work with medical-therapeutic and diagnostic measures on and for people – for example in treatment, rehabilitation, health promotion or prevention. They work in different areas, such as hospitals, group practices, rehabilitation centres, research or teaching. Multiple internships allow students to apply their knowledge directly and gain practical experience.
