Be there when women prepare for one of life's most important moments: You will provide them with support during pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding and accompany the young family during the first year of the child's life. You will gain the necessary practical experience with us from the first semester.
This is what you can expect during your studies:
- Physiological thinking
- Supporting physiological processes in obstetrics
- Making clinical decisions
- Working with scientific support
- Implementing salutogenetic considerations
- Promoting health
In addition to in-depth training in obstetrics and obstetrics medicine, you will learn to understand the psychological and social processes involved in becoming a parent. You will also acquire counselling skills and develop your communication and conflict resolution skills. Work placements in all six semesters deepen the knowledge you have acquired and familiarise you with the professional field.
