The academic expert program Gerontological Health Care and Nursing prepares you for a specialized role in geriatric health care. It focuses on the topics of integrated care models, geriatric syndromes, gerontopsychiatric diseases, psychogeriatric Health Care and Nursing, and psychosocial support.

• Active participation in shaping gerontological health care and nursing as an independent field of expertise
• Expanded expertise in health promotion and prevention as well as in gerontological and gerontopsychiatric health care and nursing
• Focus on applied nursing research and epidemiology
• Acquisition of the ability to prescribe medical devices for the first time by certified health and nursing professionals (DGKP) in accordance with § 15a GuKG. This qualification is offered in cooperation with the Austrian Health Care and Nursing Association (ÖGKV).
